The Galley Sessions The Galley Sessions host music, poetry, theatre, comedy, dance, discussion, debate and feasting, onboard a dutch barge on the river Lagan.

Regular music nights include... Warm Beer Cold Women – an evening of dark jazz and swing, inspired by Waits, Cohen, Shelton, Simone... and a suitably jazz-era cocktail list. Performances from various live acts and our ever charming host Nicholas Boyle - first Thursday of each month from 8pm

We serve food from noon Mon-Sat, with specials and small plates Thu-Sat evenings, hand held bar bites that won't get in the way of dancing..

Phew, the first Lifeboat poetry evening has just occurred. Streamed live.. incredible readings from Andy Eaton and Wayne Miller. Now we're gearing up for the next Warm Beer Cold Women night!

Stephen Connolly will be on Arts Extra tonight at 6.30 talking about the first of The Lifeboat readings (tomorrow night at 7.30 - free entry) featuring Wayne Miller and Andy Eaton. Andy Eaton will be reading a poem on air.

Northern Ireland's national station for local news, live sport, weather, intelligent speech, great personalities and music to suit all tastes.

This weekend (friday AND saturday!)
- HIGHLIFE - 8pm til midnight
DJs Jewesbury and Watson play... Afrobeat from Mali, guitars from Congo, orchestres from Guinea and Highlife Allstars from Nigeria... Free in as always. Lots of dancing around as always. Amazing night out on the river as always.

ahhhhh...the boat is toasty and the river is sparkly....very romantic ;) come down for some dark jazz and swing with sara dylan, stephen dunwoody and hosted by nicholas boyle...from 9pm...we'll be propping up the bar from the outside tonight ;) x
