Mary McIntyre & Robert Anderson Reconstructions: A Room for Mike Kelley
Reconstructions: A Room for Mike Kelley is a series of collaborative works by artists Mary McIntyre & Robert Anderson, made in response to live performances by the late artist Mike Kelley (1954 â2012) produced during the late 1970âs and early 1990âs.
This exhibition is a meticulous reconstruction of the studio environments in which Kelley enacted his live works. It contains props and objects, constructed to mimic those found in Kelleyâs performance documentation. They range from the strange to the familiar, from the plausible to the bizarre.

Susan Hughes: A Feeling in the Blood
Programmed to coincide with Belfast Trad Fest and Fleadh Cheoil na hĂireann A Feeling in the Blood explores the significance of storytelling in Irish Culture.
The exhibition will feature a display of loaned object from members of the public, which have a history relating to a personal experience of Irish trad over the years. Additionally there will be a purpose-built stage for ad-hoc performances by visiting musicians to the Fleadh, as well as programmed performances throughout the exhibition.

Whilst separate the McIntyre & Anderson and Hughes exhibitions all employ objects as active carriers of meaning, memory, and potential action. Both exhibitions incorporate staging to produce a sense of suspended performance - in McIntyre & Anderson this is an empty, reconstructed set, while in Hughes it's a live platform waiting to be activated.
The props in each show sit between the mundane and the symbolic, asking viewers to read them as evidence, invitation, or cultural signifier. In that sense, both exhibitions are less about finished artworks than about the conditions under which performance, narration, and collective meaning come into view.
