So this has really got me fired up, much like the Peace rally response to crazy fleg times the other year, but more so because I see so many people that have inspired me and the wider community being literally shell-shocked by this that my friend's post inspired me to write something to hopefully quell the blues of the news. So here is my two pence worth, and it got me thinking, if you care about the arts in NI and positive change from positive people, how about some direct action? Let's face it without it we are heading back to dark days so before we turn out the lights, how about an Art party from all of us, and maybe just maybe the 50,000 from Culture Night 2014, and all other supporters of these events on the lawns of Stormont...

When I first saw this I wanted to say because they are cnuts, but I think you've hit the nail on the head, yet I can't help but feel our words and actions will do nowt to appease or change their minds because if they were to do their jobs properly ie as great as you do yours with every ounce of your soul, we, NI would no longer have need of them. They would be out of jobs, money and the power they oh so seem to crave. Yes it's frustrating but I think they have just awoken a sleeping giant, collectively the arts should show them "We are not asleep, we will not go quietly into the dark of your night and now they will hear us ROAR". WHO'S UP FOR AN ART TEA PARTY AT STORMONT?
