Beatndrum Samba Band Belfast-based community samba band for adults. Teaching the lively street carnival rhythms of Brasil and beyond! Practice: THURSDAYS NIGHTS 7-9pm.

BEATnDRUM is Beat Carnival's community samba band for adults. We believe that everybody has a part to play in our band no matter what experience you have. We teach anybody that wants to learn how to play drums with a large group of people and how to reclaim the streets in the name of a good party! At BEATnDRUM we teach people to play many styles of Afro-Brazilian/Cuban percussion from samba and sa

mba reggae to maracatu and ijexa, to conga and beyond. Since 2013, we've been increasing our focus on hip-hop, funk, drum'n'bass and more. We believe in educating our band members in the social culture of samba blocos and schools, as well as developing their skills as drummers and providing them with opportunities to perform. All we ask from our band members is to come to practice, have a laugh and with time and patience become the most awesome drumming machines on the planet!
