Everyone have a fun filled Happy St.Patrick’s Day today .

I came across this mixed media collage, I created within pages of a collection of handmade books, I made whilst undertaking my M.A in Applied Arts.

The books are like doorways allowing the viewer to see childhood memories l experienced growing up.

These pages deal with my experiences of attending Irish Dancing class. My mother sent me to Irish Dancing so as l would have good posture and walk tall as well as to learn to dance. I loved dancing at competitions and having fun with my friends.

This piece below consists of a mixed media collage. The little shamrocks I stitched by hand and the pretty little flowers by machine embroidery. The certificate l photocopied from an Irish Dancing Feis I attended in South Derry when l was 6.

We all love to get away and relax when life becomes exhausting and stressful due to all the responsibilities we have or the stresses life presents to us.

I love to paint and draw, make and create as it allows me to escape to a relaxing place where l focus on the task in hand and not worry about anything else.

I stay in the present moment and enter my own little world of relaxation and peace.

I love the peace and quiet, I enjoy listening to the clock ticking in the background as l sketch and draw. l love my own time to be alone as this makes me happy.

You need to find your little safe place where you can switch off and chill.

You could take a relaxing bath, write in your gratitude journal, sing a song, go to a yoga class, read a book, doodle, bake a cake just do something that allows you to switch off and unwind.

Everyone Easter camp is coming soon. I love organising all the projects that I’m going to share with the excited and enthusiastic children l get to teach. I find the whole experience so satisfying as l get to share my passions and love with little people who are such a pleasure to teach. You can book your daughter/son/niece/nephew/grandson/granddaughters place now... you need to be quick as spaces fill. Limited to 15 places only.

We all must follow our inner desires to express ourselves and engage in a practise that allows us to be our true selves. I love Art and Design, it’s my number one passion. I’m lucky that l can tap into my creativity whenever l want to, when l want to. I can doodle on anything from a napkin in a restaurant to an old envelope. I don’t need any real fancy equipment just a pen, pencil or tin of paints. I like to use a mixture of traditional paint brushes and charcoal alongside everyday objects to make marks and draw freely. Im lucky that my passion doesn’t cost me very much. You should try out an art class as scientific research shows that art can help prevent dementia later on in life, improve mental wellbeing, release serotonin which makes you feel peaceful and relaxed. You can reap the benefits of participating in a practical art lesson wherein you use your hands and mind to create something wonderful and unique. It allows you to express yourself without words. You will be able to communicate to others your inner most thoughts and feelings without opening your mouth.

Everyone we will be gathering next Tuesday at the House, Botanic at 7-9.30pm for another fun, evening of Paint and Drink.

I really enjoy these evenings as all the participants are so surprised at the end when l hand them their finished framed watercolour painting.

Getting that paintbrush in the hands of people who haven’t painted since they were a kid is like taking them back.

If you fancy an evening of relaxing and having fun painting and drinking book yourself a place. You will be pleasantly surprised at your skills and how much you can learn following my instructions in a few hours.

You could bring along a friend who you haven’t seen in a while or your partner..

We all love to see our children develop and grow in confidence and ability. We had such fun in Art Club yesterday chatting and singing. I love being able to encourage the children who attend art club to develop their skills and express themselves. You need to check out the kids work and share with friends and family. Be proud of your children and let them know how amazingly talented they are. @ Belfast

Everyone, what a fabulous, inspiring day l had yesterday. I was absolutely delighted to be shortlisted to pitch Women’s International Conference day.

I didn’t win however (as l always share with my students it’s taking part that matters) what an experience l had. Being in a room with so many amazing, inspiring women was truly one of those days l will never forget. The sisterhood were in full power and l was in awe of so many of the speakers and kind ladies who came up and commented on my honest pitch.

Everyone Easter Art Camp will be happening on the 25th and 26th of April in Bredagh Hall from 9.30-3.30pm.

I love Easter because of its bright colours, bunny rabbits and the excuse to divulge in chocolate..

Everyone this evening l got to listen to the Queen Of Instagram Caroline who is the owner of DIGG For Success and DIGG Childrenswear.
I have been excitedly waiting for this workshop and was so glad to listen to her share her knowledge and experiences this evening.
I also got to spend time with my gorgeous friend Sinéad who is another inspirational woman who is a constant source of support and guidance. This lady knows how to make you believe in yourself and your talents. Every time l come away from spending time with her I feel amazing.
You need to surround yourself with inspiring ladies who lift you up and help you on your journey. You can grow and bloom with their help and support.
