You’ve met the playwrights, seen the casts, now here’s a sneaky peek into the rehearsal rooms and what’s been happening all week- 5 playwrights, 4 directors, 19 actors- artist collaboration at its very best. Less than 48 hours to go…New North, Culture Night
📍Lyric Theatre

And last but by no means least, check out this brilliant ensemble cast for Katie Marie Moore's The Three Green Fields (And the Fourth One at the Back Door) - our longest title to date!!! Like all the other readings for Culture Night at the Lyric, supported by public investment in the arts - which means paid employment for 19 actors, 5 playwrights, 3 directors, 1 stage manager and 1 film maker - 29 paid freelance contracts over the course of a week. Wouldn't it be amazing if we could do this regularly and more often? That's why we need adequate levels of funding for the arts in Northern Ireland, not a fraction of our colleagues across the UK and ROI.

Third times the charm, but not quite yet as we're just over half way there with our Cast Announcements, but The List, written and directed by Fionnuala Kennedy is very special as are the amazing ensemble of female actors featured in this Reading. So come join us at Lyric Belfast on 18 September for Culture Night and experience what investment in the Arts, thanks to Belfast City Council, Culture Night and Arts Council of Northern Ireland can achieve - employment, audience experiences, cultural provision and all the rest
