Fabulous opportunity for some of our teachers to work with Music Theatre International - Europe and the team at the Opera House on an exciting creative learning project, helping to nurture young talent.

The Grand Opera House Trust is delighted to partner with Music Theatre International to bring the magic of musical theatre to children across Belfast! 🎭

Through this exciting project, teachers and pupils from Braniel Primary School, Botanic Primary School, Knocknagoney Primary School and St Kevin’s Primary Schools, will bring the magic of Shrek the Musical Jr. to life in their schools guided and supported by the Theatre and Music Theatre International. The budding young stars will also have the incredible opportunity to step out onto the iconic Grand Opera House stage for a special finale performance for all their family and friends next year.

Today marks the 25th anniversary of the shocking and devastating events of September 11th, 2001. It also marks 25 years since the people of Newfoundland, Canada opened their hearts and their homes to the thousands of diverted and stranded passengers from across the world.

Nose to tail, shoulder to shoulder, strangers to neighbours.

They gave them shelter, comfort, kindness, and safety in a world that seemed to be unraveling when they were so far from home.

You are here. At the start of a moment. On the edge of the world.
