There’s something special about reaching for a handmade piece every day.

Our collection of ceramics by Alison Hanvey brings together beautiful functional ware in soft, coastal-inspired tones that feel right at home in any space. From mugs and bowls to serving pieces and everyday essentials, the range offers plenty of ways to start—or grow—your collection over time.

Each piece is handmade, designed to be used and enjoyed daily, bringing a little moment of joy to your morning coffee, family meals, or quiet evening rituals. The beauty of collecting functional ceramics is that your collection can evolve with you, adding new favourites along the way.

Hard to buy for? Trusts us we know! 😉

Dads might have everything they need, but a small ‘thank you for everything you do’ won’t go unnoticed…

It’s Father’s Day this weekend – if celebrating, stop by the Gallery for a unique handcrafted gift. A new mug, a handmade card or a scarf to wear on those chilly beach walks might be just the thing!

A busy week ahead for makers wishing to sell or exhibit their work at Craft NI Gallery!

⌛Applications for the 2026 August Craft Month exhibition, 𝙍𝙝𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙢, close Sunday, June 7th!
Share your creative ideas with us and follow the link below for more information about the application process.

This year's theme, 𝙍𝙝𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙢, highlights the connections between making and music, traditional or contemporary. As Belfast gets ready to host the annual Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann this summer and welcome an estimated 800,000 visitors, we are delighted to have the opportunity to share craft with a new, culturally-engaged audience!

Taking place from July 23 to August 28 at Craft NI Gallery in Belfast's Cathedral Quarter, the exhibition will be promoted on our exhibition website and benefit from marketing support from the Craft NI team.

The five exhibition winners will be selected by Marlene McKibbin, this year's guest judge, who we are delighted to welcome to Belfast this summer!

You may have spotted striking large Moon Jars in the gallery — and we’re delighted to now have these beautiful smaller vessels available too!

‘The Narrows’ stoneware vase collection is inspired by the dramatic meeting point of the Irish Sea and Strangford Lough, where tidal energy and movement shape the landscape. Each piece reflects the dynamic flow and turbulence of this unique coastal environment through expressive maiolica glaze decals and layered textures.

Handmade in County Down, Tracey’s work is deeply connected to the Irish landscape, creating vessels that celebrate discovery, nature, and the emotional pull of our coastlines.

These smaller pieces make a thoughtful gift or a beautiful addition to your home — perfect for shelves, side tables, or simply admired as sculptural objects in their own right 💙

Pop into the gallery to see them in person.
