We deliver a wide range of arts activity, events and creativity across east Belfast.

EastSide Arts is a wholly owned subsidiary of EastSide Partnership, a regeneration organisation that has been working in east Belfast for more than twenty years. Our mission is to inspire EastSide residents and visitors by celebrating east Belfast, nurturing creative talent and delivering exciting programmes and events. Having initiated an annual arts festival in 2012 we have now developed the EastSide Arts brand under which we will deliver an annual arts festival each summer and a year round arts programme.

We added some brilliant new venues to this year’s EastSide Arts Festival, including:

A huge thank you to each of these venues for welcoming the festival and helping us create spaces where our community could come together, try something new and have a bit of craic.

Celebrating 10 years of the EastSide Choir

Formed in 2016, the EastSide Choir brings together 40 members in East Belfast through a shared love of singing, creativity and connection.

To mark this special milestone, we spoke to choir directors and professional musicians Helenna Howie and Ryan Greer about their experiences leading the choir, as well as choir members about the impact it has had on their everyday lives.

It’s been a landmark year for the choir, with exciting collaborations alongside award-winning writer Jan Carson, a song written and performed with singer-songwriter Ferna and harpist Ursula Burns, as well as a special performance beyond Belfast at the Seamus Heaney HomePlace.

Ten years of music, friendship and community, and so much more to come!

Join us at the iconic Harland and Wolff Staff Club for Sound of Belfast x Eastside Arts present: Sonic East with Cosign, Miss TKA Newberry & Viva Dean.

Expect an eclectic night of electronic music from women and non-binary artists emerging in the Belfast Scene. The line-up is made up of three artists with different styles within the electronic space from indie-electronic to experimental soundscapes.

EastSide Arts has launched a brand new Creative Citizens Panel, creating a new way for local voices to shape the programming and creative events happening in their area.

We sent 800 postcards to streets along the Newtownards Road, inviting local residents to join the panel and help decide the themes, ideas and events they want to see on their doorstep.

Designed in collaboration with and facilitated by Starling Start, the Creative Citizens Panel is all about listening to local people and putting their ideas centre stage.

Culture night takeover at Templemore Baths

Two events taking place at Templemore Baths this Culture Night, both well worth coming along to.

From 4pm to 6pm, join us for Speed Storytelling in the historic Bath House. Local residents will share one-on-one stories, histories and poems with visitors, ten minutes with a storyteller and a unique story every time. Free to attend, no booking required.

Then from 6:30pm to 8pm, a Deaf-led living history performance with Paula Clarke, led in BSL with an interpreter present. Numbers are limited for this one, so please register for free via the link below
