This post is long overdue!

Last week saw the most talented cake-makers come together for a great afternoon at the Andersonstown Social Club PD.

3rd prize of £50 was Shona with a scrumptious frosting that our judges were raving about (looking at you Roberto Lewsley!)

2nd prize of £100 was Laura- the "Belfast Bap with Tayto Crisps@ top tier was the talk of the place!!

1st prize of £300 (and the coveted trophy🏺) was Paul with a strawberry shortcake flavoured cake- honestly never tasted anything like this in my life- that was decorated with all the precision and finesse of a seasoned baker!

Word on the street is that the bake-off was the best thing in this years Feile (Wolftones who?!) and next year we will be back and hope to see more talented and creative cake-makers showcasing the talent that West Belfast has to offer.

Of course, the event was to mark the anniversary of Duke Gormley and he would have been over the moon with how it all went...
