Starbucks Botanic Avenue, Belfast 2014

For years, a chronic mental health condition has negatively affected my interest in creating art. I have since embraced creating art digitally. I found it provides more spontaneity, and is less cumbersome psychologically.

The staff at this branch were welcoming and friendly towards me, as I spent a lot of time there enjoying coffee and people-watching. I decided to express my graduate in visual form. Sadly, now, this branch no longer exists, which makes me even more thankful that I made the effort.

Taking Back The Lamd

This was inspired my time at my new studio at Strangford. Looking over the land , not comprehending the boundaries that lay out in front. Farm land, private land, land lent out for crop as an act of kindness. Land wanted but not sealed in a sale .the piece gave rise to a feeling of compromise. Completed last year in water colour/acrylic mixed on thick watercolour paper . Loveofthelough Heather Green

A long time before us....And after us

I am from Brittany in France and have a strong affinity with my celtic heritage. I have always found the standing stones mysterious and have admired the knowledge and wisdom of our ancestors as well as their connection with the natural world. I enjoy using wool because of it wide sectrum of vibrant colours . This piece is inpired by the Beaghmore Stone Circle ,which is not far from where I live.

Taking back The Land

This is a mixed Media piece inspired by the Artwork of John Luke.
I used a stitching affect around the outer lines . The colours evoke the comforting colours of the start of Autumn. The Title gives rise to the the idea of rights, borders, wars, and ownership, giving rise to thoughts around how land is divided. Poetry to follow for this piece.
