We're delighted to be featured once again in today's Irish Times "Four to Go and See" guide alongside Metallica, Zach Bryan and the Dalkey Book Festival.

This weekend, Louth Contemporary Music Society celebrates 20 years with five extraordinary concerts across Dundalk, featuring a new commission by Beat Furrer, the radical sound world of Harry Partch, and the magnificent Davóne Tines performing Recital No. 1: MASS.

A huge thank you to Tony Clayton-Lea and The Irish Times for highlighting the festival.

If you've been thinking about coming, this is your weekend. Join us for music unlike anything else you'll hear.

A pleasure to welcome Beat Furrer to Dundalk ahead of this weekend's performances.
One of the most influential composers of our time, and a privilege to have him here for Coming Together 2026.

We're delighted to announce that Louth Contemporary Music Society has been awarded an Arts Council Commission Award for a major new work by the extraordinary American composer Sarah Hennies.

Sarah's music challenges, transforms and expands our understanding of sound, listening and performance, and we are honoured to support the creation of a new work that will receive its world premiere in Ireland.

We look forward to sharing more details in the months ahead.

We are deeply grateful to the Arts Council for its continued support of new music and the commissioning of new artistic voices.

There is only one complete collection of Harry Partch's extraordinary instruments in Europe.

On Saturday 20 June at 5pm, Charles Corey and Luke Fitzpatrick perform two of Partch's most celebrated works — U.S. Highball and Ten Lyrics of Li Po — at The Spirit Store, Dundalk.

Built for a 43-note scale, these handcrafted instruments create a sound world unlike anything else in music.

It's a chance to experience one of the 20th century's most original musical visions, live.

James Hetfield has next Friday and Sunday covered in Dublin.

Saturday? Apparently he's sitting in with Charles Corey for a bit of Harry Partch. 🤘😄

Relax... it's a joke.

But if you want to hear an instrument almost as rare as that scenario, join us at the Spirit Store on Saturday at 5pm.

On Friday, they'll bring that music to Dundalk.
