Thank you Brendan Finan and The Journal of Music for this thoughtful and generous review of Coming Together 2026.

"Louth Contemporary Music Society's festivals have a unique atmosphere... That the atmosphere is maintained within each festival and throughout the years across that diversity of programming is more impressive still... But regardless of the style, or even the quality of the music performed, it strikes me every year."

And perhaps my favourite observation:

"To focus on composers as aesthetically different as Salvatore Sciarrino and Caroline Shaw over the past two decades suggests that director Eamonn Quinn accepts new music no matter what that means."

Thank you to all of the extraordinary composers, performers, audience members, festival team, supporters and funders who have helped shape LCMS over the past twenty years. We're already looking forward to what's next.

Three remarkable artists. One memorable evening.

Just before Friday night's opening concert at Coming Together 2026.

Three extraordinary vocalists whose artistry, commitment and generosity helped make the festival's opening night so memorable. It was a privilege to welcome them to Dundalk and to share this music with our audience.

Our great friend, supporter and musician Daisy Press.

It was such a pleasure to welcome Daisy back to Dundalk for Coming Together 2026.

Daisy's powerful performance of Frederic Rzewski's Coming Together, conducted by Carol McGonnell, was one of the defining moments of this year's festival. Her artistry, intelligence and generosity brought extraordinary depth to the music.

Frederic Rzewski's Coming Together brought together musicians from across Europe for the opening concert of the festival.

Daisy Press performing with Mary Dullea, Krassimir Sterev, Darragh Morgan, Mia Cooper, Danusha Waskiewicz, Jakob Kullberg, Gerald Preinfalk and Marco Sala, conducted by Carol McGonnell, at St Nicholas' Church, Dundalk.

Michael Dervan described the performance as "a high-energy ride" in The Irish Times.
