The team and their favourite pieces

Richard Twose "Breathe" - Jools
To me, although she is in the air, the subject evokes the feel of swimming which is my passion. I love the idea of floating and freedom.

Richard Twose "The Florist" - Kat
In this picture I love the warm, rich tones of red against the cool green. The woman comes across as confident with her loyal friend lying by her feet.

Nigel Sharma "St Ives Moorings" - Lucy
I love the depth and solidness of Nigel's work. The reflections in the water of the buildings and the boats are beautiful. It's a strong yet immensely calm painting.

Jo March "Early Potatoes" - Carolyn
This painting captures the simple contentment of rural life and the joy of a shared endeavour. The couple are completely at home in their environment, surrounded by the details of domestic familiarity – mugs of tea, scratching chickens, the open kitchen door. And what could be more basic than potatoes.

Jenny Wilson "And It Was All Yellow" - Caroline
When I first saw this, it made me catch my breath. The open gate onto the path invites you into the painting, to escape towards the calm water, caught by the fading light, and the distant views, expertly captured by Jenny, as always.

Mel Cormack-Hicks "Feels Like Summer" - Lisa
I love the tranquility of this painting; it transports me back to the excitement and intrigue of rock pooling as a child when the tide is out. I admire how brave and spontaneous Mel's work is, using shapes, patterns and splashes of ink in the foreground and yet she cleverly brings the perspective to the composition. Her passion and energy shine through.

Andrew Coates "Otter Walk" - Jez
I love the composition of this work, you can almost feel the heat of the day and hear the sound of the river & wildlife. I have walked along here with my dogs many times and this is an excellent representation of the path.

Jean Pierson "Apéritif Crétois près de Paleochora" - Helen
Jean's work creates a sense of calm, portraying serene situations. I love the muted palette and the attention to small details. I can almost hear the water lapping the shore and feel the warm breeze on my face as I look into the picture. Just gorgeous.
