KMP is 1 today!

One year ago we put on our first show: Black Mekon, Cherry Pickles and Exploding Ear Ensemble - what a night. Both Black Mekon and Cherry Pickles have new albums on the way so check them out if you haven't already.

We'll be back when things get sort of normal again. Keep supporting grasroots bands and music in these weird times.
Keep safe everyone.

Whilst the Notts branch of KMP await their bumper Gr**go Records delivery, including last year's Bilge Pump record We Love You, in Bedford HQ we are spinning the excellent Rupert The Sky in tribute to the Tatty Seaside Town all-dayer that would've been today. Gutted doesn't even come close, one day we'll make it to one of them!
Anyway, if you've never given Bilge Pump a listen, we highly recommend you do.

If you are able, supporting local businesses, independent shops, bands and labels would hugely help in these times of uncertainty.
We've stocked up from Gr**go Records and Slide Record Shop in the last couple of days and many labels are doing deals. Bandcamp are also giving all proceeds from purchases to bands tomorrow. Get your quarantine vinyl!
To aid our listening experience we're now aided by booze from Beerfly and cake from Fancy Bakery.
We did have a show in the pipeline for June but we will wait and see what happens. Take care everyone and try to help out the more vulnerable if you can.
KMP.

We highly recommend checking out Dry Cleaning at Bedford Esquires tonight. We saw them supporting SNAPPED ANKLES last year and at the DIY, Why Not festival last weekend and they were excellent both times. Special thanks to Slide Record Shop for holding back a copy of the Boundary Road/Snacks & Drinks record so one of us could get it for Christmas!

** NEW SHOW **

Friday March 27th: Psychic Lemon, Thee Telepaths & Cavernzz. For fans of all things psych, krautrock, and dreamy pop music. £7.50 adv from Seetickets, details below.

KMP Charity Gig: Psychic Lemon, Thee Telepaths, Cavernzz

To kick things off in 2020, we have teamed up with the Russell Park Social Club to bring you a night of 3 great bands all in the name of the homeless charity, Shelter. Every ticket purchased to the show, and all profits, will see money donated to their fight against ending homelessness.

Psychic Lemon are one of the best homegrown psych bands of the last few years. The bands 3rd record, Freak Mammal, was released to critical acclaim and 6 Music play last year. Check out a cut from their live record, also out last year. We also welcome back Thee Telepaths after their awesome set supporting Cosmic Dead at Esquires in November. Opening the night will be Cavernzz, a one man dream pop outfit from MK. A night not to be missed, and all for a great cause.

Space rock power. From the album, Frequency Rhythm Distortion Delay. Released on 12th January 2018 on Tonzonen Records. Vinyl: https://www.tonzonen.de CD + d...

Last night's Tav Falco - Panther Burns show w/ ROAR Club was a great way to end our gigs for the year. Special thanks to Gareth, Milky, Derek, Josh, James, Pete and the staff at Bedford Esquires for all their help in making our shows happen.
The Cosmic Dead, TRASH KIT, Black Mekon, Cherry Pickles, Exploding Ear Ensemble, The Grubby Mitts, Thee Telepaths, The Saboteurs - thanks so much for making the evenings so special, we had a blast and met some amazing people.
Lastly, thanks to everyone who came down to our shows. The comments we've had from people have been so supportive and we really appreciate it.
We want to keep putting the best left field/esoteric/outsider etc stuff on and will be back next year. Please keep checking stuff out and taking a punt on bands like this; grassroots music is so important.
Love,
KMP.
