Hi everyone,

Jay and Ellie here, the new owners of Don't Get Locked In! 🔐
It's been a manic week getting everything sorted but we can't wait to build on the magic Cathy and Marcus started. This is a new adventure for us, and we couldn't be more excited to take it on.

We've got lots of exciting plans in the works, including renovating the bar area, so keep an eye on this page for updates, new room announcements, and a few surprises along the way.

We have the same great team of Game Masters, so you'll still see the same friendly faces when you visit. We want to reassure everyone that all existing gift cards will be honoured, but if you having are any problems, drop us a line and we will do our best to sort it for you 😊

In the meantime, come say hi, bring your friends, and put your teamwork to the test!

It’s time to let you all know that we are saying goodbye to our business, our creation, born in 2018, Don’t Get Locked In. What an adventure it’s been.

After taking on the lease in Bedford 6 years ago, Marcus and I finalised the sale of Don’t Get Locked In last weekend. We have had a fantastic time, growing the business and building a superb reputation as well as picking up TripAdvisor Awards every year since being open.

As some of you will know we also sold The Cellar Bar, also based in Bedford last October to move to the sea, our semi-retirement plan. We absolutely love it, it’s great fun being able to take the dogs to the beach when we want to!

Of course, the escape rooms success wouldn’t have been possible without a fantastic team. There have been a few faces help us to build the reputation of the business over the years, whether in the past or still with us now, we will always be grateful for their time, support and hard work!

A big thank you to my husband Marcus, we had crazy ideas, sitting in the pub and coming up with stuff, he then turned them into the immersive experiences that we see today and have been loved by all.

Then there’s you, our fantastic customers. From the bottom of our hearts THANK YOU!

New owners Jeremy and Ellie will take over effective immediately. They seem as passionate about escape rooms as we are, so we are very happy that the reigns will be left with them. I’m sure at some point they will look to design new rooms.
