Thanks so much to everyone who came up to support the Gallop and enjoy the entertainments, races, games, bar and food. We hope everyone enjoyed it and we hope to do it all again next year. We had a huge clear-up effort this morning and it’s all back as it was last Thursday. The whole event takes a lot of planning and ex*****on with support from the Parish Council and our marvellous team of local volunteers. We really do need to increase the number of helpers and if you feel you could help out we’d really appreciate it. Thanks again and let’s do it again in 2027!

It’s finally Gallop day - a huge amount of work from the volunteer team and we are nearly ready for the event, starting with the classic vehicle parade from the Campton end of the village around noon and with the bar tent open until midnight. See you all there!

Hi everyone, just 2 days to the Gravenhurst Gallop summer festival; get those bake-off entries ready and please do bring along your previously-enjoyed and super-reusable Gallop cups if you still have them as we are always trying to reduce our plastic waste. We still do have plenty of cups if you would like to buy one at the bar. Get limbering up for the plate smashing too - plenty to go at this year. Remember we take card payments at the bar and at the food tent but cash is always welcome too - try to bring some coins as sometimes we struggle with finding the right change!

The football will be on too if you want to watch either of those games.

It's the 2026 Gravenhurst Gallop soon - it's on the 4th July - why not get those baking fingers (and skills) together and enter the bake-off competition?

Two classes open to all:
-- Six biscuits (decorated or not)
-- Victoria sponge
Age groups are:
8 years and under
9 years to 16 year old
over 16 (adults)

No need to pre register, just turn up with your home made delights on the day! Just £2 per entry.
