The latest batch of Warner Archive new releases have just arrived at Snips.

It's an eclectic bunch that includes AUNTIE MAME (1958) on dual format Blu-ray and 4K UHD, and the pre-code classic LETTY LYNTON (1932) with Joan Crawford.

SEVENTEEN brand new releases are hitting the racks at Snips this week.

I'll go into more detail as the week progresses, but the highlights include OBSESSION (finally), a nine hour epic from Godard, BARBARIAN in 4K UHD, a th*****me of Italian neorealist noir, and Barbara Kopple in the Criterion collection.

Physical media really is unbeatable.

One of the great things about working at Snips is the opportunity to meet so many talented people.

A few months ago, Jonathan asked if he could build some memorabilia to be displayed at the shop. When asked what I'd like, my response was Ray Stantz-esque in my level of unpreparedness...

"EVIL B**G!"

After all, I co-authored the official history of the Evil B**g franchise (purchasable from all good bookstores), and I figured Jonathan would probably forget about his lovely gesture anyway...

But no! Lo and behold, THIS!

Skillfully sculpted from Fimo branded oven bake clay, and painted with acrylics and given a glossy varnish, it's an absolute work of art.

Give Jonathan a follow (Insta: ) to stay up to date with his stunning creations, and before you ask... I assure you that it's a PROP!

G'day, and check out this lip-smackingly awesome foursome of Aussie imports from that have arrived at Snips today!

There's a pair of Richard Stanley directed classics on dual format Blu-ray and 4K UHD in HARDWARE (1990) and DUST DEVIL(1992), and Bill and Ted reunite (sort of) in Alex Winter's madcap comedy FREAKED (1993). This lesser seen movie with no UK release since VHS lands on both Blu-ray and 4K UHD.

There's also a Blu-ray for Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz's mesmeric horror GOODNIGHT MOMMY (2014). Never released in the UK on disc, this one also isn't streaming over here either. Madness.

Upgrades, upgrades, upgrades...

Evolving Snips' aging DVD stock into Blu-ray and 4K UHD is a neverending task, but it's always good to have a sweeping upgrade with the catalogue of an iconic filmmaker like David Cronenberg.

It's especially cool to add the [Imprint] Blu-ray of THE DEAD ZONE (1983) and the Arrow 4K UHD of NAKED LUNCH (1991).

Monday morning plot twist!

There are no major UK physical media releases this week, however, here's a sneak peak at TEN exciting Warner Archive newbies that are currently in flight over the Atlantic.

Criterion, Arrow and Vinegar Syndrome get the bulk of the attention, but Warner Archive holds a special place at Snips, and this latest batch of new releases demonstrate how wonderfully eclectic the label is.

The latest batch of Visual Vengeance releases have just landed!

There's an outrageous kung-fu spectacle in the shape of FATAL FLYING GUILLOTINE (1977), CYCLOPS (1987) stands as an unhinged entry in Japan's underground splatter movement, and REANIMATOR ACADEMY (1992) is a cheap n'cheerful send-up of Lovecraftian lore that's produced by David DeCoteau.
