RIP John Blanche.

His work set the tone for the worlds of Warhammer for decades and his influence is found in every corner of our hobby. Well, it’s time to announce something *very* exciting - we’re starting a new adventure with and !

Questival will be a one-day event that celebrates fantasy worlds, comic books, and roleplaying games, and the stories that bring us all together. Expect author talks and signings, creative workshops, RPG intro sessions, and so much more - all in the beautiful village of Port Sunlight!

We have so many things to talk about, but the best place to keep on top of all of the news is the Questival page.

Bank Holiday Monday (and some half term opening hours!)

It's a super sunny monday, we've got our fans on max and our ice machine ready to go, and we're open from 12pm!

Normally, this is where we'd say how we're open from 12pm *every day* this half term, but this week that isn't true - shocking stuff. On thursday and friday we're open from 3pm, as Chris and Ross are off to , so make sure you're not planning to visit when we're not here!

Wirral Gaymes Night, Friday 22nd May, 7pm-10pm: Tickets Available Now!

Last month we took a break from our regularly-scheduled Wirral Gaymes Night because of Magic: the Gathering's 'Secrets of Strixhaven' and a little thing called , but now we're in May it's time to get the calendar back on track!

Games! Cake! Pigs at weddings! It all makes sense if you think about it. It's an evening of inclusive board games in our safe space, with another chaotic TTRPG from that honestly sets the tone for the whole thing. Tickets are available now on our website, so go book your spot!

Who's ready for Wirral WarCon 2026??

WarCon is just *days* away, and preparation is down to the final details. Now all we need to do is decide what we're taking with us!

Of course, we'll be taking a selection of releases from , including some limited release battleforces and army boxes (maybe with some special WarCon discounts!).

We *don't* need to take anything from , , , , or because they'll be with us on the big day - so if you want any Konflikt '47, spray primers, or colourshift paints, go visit their stands!

We'll *definitely* have to bring some , and to support our Paint & Take and the Warmachine and Moonstone demos, they're a no brainer! And maybe we'll also take some , , , , gamersgrass , and ... and maybe some board games, some rulebooks from , the recent issues of ...
..We're gonna need a bigger car!

Wirral War-Con, Saturday 25th April: It's nearly time!!

It's now under two weeks until War-Con 2026 - we're so excited but also stressed to death! We've got so much planned and so many people joining us from across the hobbysphere for the biggest wargaming and hobbying event in this neck of the woods. Last year was big, and this year is even bigger, with even more vendors, traders, and demos, and more!

Oh, you'd love to come too? Well that's simple! Entry will be £2 per person on the door, or you can book early through our website to also enter an absolute mega-raffle full of goodies from , , , , , , and ! We know which way we'd pick, but the choice is yours...

On a separate note, Bulwark Games will be *closed for the entirety of War-Con Weekend*, with the whole team down at the event on the saturday and then recovering on the sunday!
