I've been painting a scene in an Ancient Woodland today with my Husband.
Beautiful places like this are constantly under threat, trees like this need protected at all costs, they are the lungs of the world.
Plant trees, and if someone cuts them down, keep planting more until we can breathe again.

You won't believe what this girl did!
From the Studio of Gaia's Children, a collectable Doll is born.
River is the gentlest of Fauns that always helps the underdog.
He is the brother to Rain, and was destined to become a Prince of his tribe.
River is a romantic though, and instead of focusing on his tasks, he lies under a tree daydreaming, often wondering what other worlds may be like.

River is entirely handsculpted, and all of his fur and clothes are hand sewn.
There will never be another like him, as no moulds were used or taken during the making process.

Coming Soon For General Release!
From the Studios Of Gaia's Children, a collectable Doll is born!
Marcus The Brave is entirely handsculpted, and all his fur and clothes are hand sewn.
Marcus was a Centurian that prayed to the Goddess Diana to make him brave in battle like a Lion.
The Goddess fell in love with Marcus and gave him his wish, but made it so no other mortal could ever fall in love with him.
Marcus was devastated with his new appearance. Although he was hailed as a champion by his legion, mortal women were frightened of him.
After the battle was won, Marcus took to the forest away from humans and lived as a recluse.
The Goddess got her wish, and her spell is yet to be broken.
If a mortal woman does fall in love with him, he will return to his original form.
There will never be another Art Doll like Marcus, as no moulds were used or taken during the making process.

Rain is entirely handsculpted, and all of her clothes are hand sewn.

She is the kindest of creatures, with a calm, beautiful voice that delivers a sweet lullaby to the innocent and lonely.

Adding paint layers to my OOAK handsculpted Satyr

I want to get the look of weathered stone, by using light and dark greys applied with a dry brushing and stippling process it is easily achievable.
With Polymerclay it is better to apply several thin layers of paint, rather than 2 thick layers, which can look gloopy.

My OOAK handsculpted Satyr is finished!

I wanted to turn him into a hanging decoration for either a tree, a wall, or an altar.
I am pleased with how the weathered stone effect turned out.
I love making this type of decoration, I have a lot more planned, which I will design and put on my shop.

The process of this piece looks like this:

Day 1, I sculpted the face
Day 2, I sculpted the horns & the hair
Day 3, I applied the paint layers
Day 4, I applied the varnish and added the chain.
