A Little Piece About Me And My Dolls
I made my first doll in April 2025, before that I sculpted for 2 years.
I was already an accomplished painter of 30 years, but after losing my Mom I fell into a depression that I could see no way out of.
My therapy has always been art, but I felt that I needed something more in-depth to take my mind off things.
It was my Husband that suggested that I try sculpting, and bought me my first pack of Cosclay.
Sculpting was something that I had a natural knack for, and I loved it from the minute my first figure was made.
Having done a few pieces, my Husband suggested that I should try to make a doll.
I did some research, and was inspired by Wendy Froud.
I settled on my own technique which suited the particular clay I began with, and made my first doll Lychan (a faun) who I still love.
Doll making literally saved me from my darkness, and each piece is dedicated to my Mom, because I know she would really love this stage of my creativity, and would've wanted to keep them all.
My Mom was a very innocent lady, who saw magic in everything, she believed in fairies and all mythical creatures, she never grew up, and neither have I.
I am eternally grateful to her for raising me to love all things Fantasy and to my Husband for always encouraging me every step of the way.
My Dolls
I make my dolls from a very high quality polymer clay called Cosclay, and many other premium materials and fabrics.
I also try my best to salvage unwanted items of clothing that have plenty of life left in them to use for my dolls.
Nothing ever goes to waste.
All of my dolls are made to an exceptional standard, with love and care for the final product.
I hand sculpt and hand stitch everything they wear.
Each doll can take up to 1 month to complete,
Nothing is rushed, and no corners are cut, I want my final product to be intricate, detailed and original.
None of my dolls will ever be made again, they are one of a kind, and all entirely different, with their own characters.
Many are ready for their adoption, and buying direct from me is the best way to purchase, as there is no hike in costs to cover an online selling charge.
My dolls will be protected for their Journey and I will only post with Royal Mail Special Delivery (uk) for better insurance purposes for my buyers and myself.
I can also post overseas.
