Although the Reconnect team are taking a year off this Fringe, we know a lot of companies are prepping themselves to join the world’s biggest art festival! Therefore, we wanted to offer an opportunity for companies to preview their work in front of an audience in our wonderful, Reconnect Regal Theatre. If you’re looking for the following:

💭Seeing how an audience react to your piece

💭Looking to iron out some bits and would benefit from feedback

💭Just want to show what you’ve got and get people excited for your show

*CASTING CALL*

Reconnect Theatres are casting for our 2026 production of William Shakespeare’s hilarious comedy “A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM”, directed by Sam Stuart Fraser.

The rehearsals for this production will run weekly, one evening a week from the first week in June until mid September. There will then be an intensive period between Monday 28th September - Friday 2nd October, then tech and show week Monday 4th October - Saturday 10th October. This production will be paid on a profit share basis with a small fee guaranteed.

If you are interested in auditioning for this amazing opportunity, please email your spotlight link or alternatively a CV and headshot to
[email protected], stating which role/roles you’d be interested in. Please be aware that the team may ask you to read for a different role than that you applied for. Please note due to high interest and email submissions, we will not send an email confirming we’ve received your application.

The first round will be self tape, those successful will be invited to an in person recall being on June 1st. If you’re unable to attend the recall, we may not be able to consider your application as these will include chemistry reads.
