Are you sad the week is nearly over? We are not because it’s nearly rehearsal night, rehearsals are back on Friday nights!

Last Friday we were back after our summer break and we were able to delve into new music for our upcoming October concert. 🎶✨

🎻 WE’RE RECRUITING! 🎶

Bathgate Concert Orchestra is looking for new string players to join us for our upcoming season! 🎻🎻

✨OUR FIRST REHEARSAL IS THE 21st of AUGUST ✨

Whether you’re picking up your instrument again after a few years or you’re looking for a friendly orchestra to play with, we’d love to hear from you. We’re particularly looking for players around Grade 4–5 level.

🎼 4 concerts each year
📅 Friday night rehearsals

📍 Craig Inn Community Centre, Blackridge

We’re a friendly, community-focused orchestra who love making music, putting on great concerts and having a good laugh along the way!

We are looking forward to welcoming everybody to our concert in St Michael’s Church in Linlithgow along side our friends at the Bathgate Brass Band.

The evening will feature a broad range of entertaining and accessible music for everyone to enjoy! Including music for the ballet, to Latin America, to film soundtracks and video game soundtracks this concert will have it all! 🎬🎮

🎶 Join us for an evening of fantastic music this summer! ☀️🎺

We’re delighted to be performing alongside the Bathgate Brass Band on Friday 12th June at St Michael’s, Linlithgow.

What a day! 🎶✨

Our Bathgate Concert Orchestra Play Day at the Low Port Centre today was an absolute success—amazing music, great energy, and such a brilliant group of players across all sections 🎺🎻🥁

We loved working on Origins, Huapango, Adagio from Spartacus & Phrygian, and ended the day with a play-through that sounded incredible! 🎼🔥

A huge thank you to our audience for coming along to support us 👏 and to our fantastic guest tutors Hector Scott, Amy Paterson-Turtle, Lorna Hall, Sarah Naish and Adrian Bornet, along with conductor Steven Meikle, for making it such a great day 🙌🎶

All of this has been great preparation as we look ahead to our concert on 12th June at St Michael’s in Linlithgow where we will be joined by the Bathgate Brass Band🎵📅

We’re excited to invite you to a fantastic Play Day with Bathgate Concert Orchestra!

Whether you're a regular player or just looking for a fun musical day, come along and enjoy making music together in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with sectionals supported by guest tutors.

⏰ Time: 10AM-4PM (with an informal concert at 3:30PM)
