Really fun one from start to finish - these guys honestly barely needed the encouragement, they were fully up for a good time and made my job very easy in the best way

Here is my attempt at answering the question I get asked most often behind the scenes: as a wedding singer, what’s my booking process?

If you’re in the “I just want to know what happens next” stage of planning, this one’s for you!

I am, however, always tweaking things behind the scenes (a polite way of saying I will never stop rearranging systems that are already working fine but could be better) but this should still give you a pretty solid idea of what to expect 🫡

And if you’ve got questions that aren’t covered here, my inbox is always open, even for non-music related things. Drop me a line at any stage to ask about song ideas, general wedding advice, supplier recommendations etc - I’m genuinely very invested in your day. Which I realise might be slightly intense for some, but unfortunately I do care quite a bit x

I Feel It Coming - The Weeknd performed for Jean & Claire’s wedding breakfast last weekend ✨

Everyone always thinks drinks reception is the main moment for daytime live music (it’s actually my favourite lol I’m not a hypocrite) but I actually really love the food bit too

People are finally sat, things have calmed down a bit, and it’s a perfect part of the day for me to bring my loungey twists on songs like this one ✌🏻

And when nearlyweds aren’t sure where’s best for live music during the daytime, I do always mention that if they’re out taking photos during the drinks reception, the wedding breakfast might actually be their main chance to properly sit and actually listen to the music they’ve booked

anyway… I think this part of the day deserves more hype 🫶

Thought I’d reintroduce myself so hi! I’m Amelle (she/they) - a wedding acoustic singer based between Bath & Bristol (I live in Bath but I’m always in Bristol hehe). I’m usually found singing, over-feeling and defending your “wedding inappropriate” song choices with my whole chest ✨

Isn’t She Lovely - Stevie Wonder ✨

I always get asked what my favourite songs to play are and I have about 47 answers depending on the day… but anything in this lane is firmly up there - Stevie, Bill Withers, slightly jazzy, bit of a head bop situation 😎🥂✌🏻

(if I see a few toe taps at a drinks reception I basically consider it a personal victory)

This was from a Cotswolds wedding at the back in 2024 (still going through the archives, bear with). That venue has very much become a second home since… and I’ll actually be back there this Saturday 1st May from 1pm for a cheeky public set for the bank holiday weekend 🫶

One of my couples told me on a call yesterday they wanted to walk down the aisle to a Bon Iver song (not this one) and I got VERY excited (a deeply unsuccessful attempt at being chill) about it 🫠

It reminded me of this relic from some moons ago - back when skinny jeans were still socially acceptable and I processed the lockdown vibes by singing emotionally devastating songs into my phone - playing not just one of my favourite Bon Iver songs but one of my favourite songs ever ever ever 🥲

Anyway I guess I’m just putting it out into the universe that if you are too dreaming of a cinematic indie-folk moment at your wedding… I may know someone 👀

New songs! ✨

Just a few of the tunes that have found their way to my repertoire these last few months - quiet(er) season has been a good opportunity for me to get around to learning songs outside of client requests! (Although the first few that have come through have been SICK ideas 🤟🏻)
