The culmination of the On Paper Festival - our amazing Grand Fair!
Saturday 20th June 2026 • 10am to 5pm
Bath Pavilion, Bath, UK

A glorious fair day with over 70 independent artists, printmakers, and stationers. Be inspired by the amazing talent of these lovely creative humans, plus…

• Try Letterpress Printing on a press from 1870.
• Build your own limited edition fountain pen at the Kaweco DIY event.
• Get free personalisation with every Leuchtturm notebook.
• Support our chosen charity and scribe something lovely at the Letter Writing Station.
• Take part in a Mini Workshop through the day (booking recommended!).
• Complete the Stamp Rally to have a chance of winning an amazing prize from & worth over £500!
• Shop directly with our amazing exhibitors and talk to the artists face to face.

Tickets are just £7.50 in advance and include your Grand Fair Passport - a beautiful A6 sketchbook that you can fill with stamps, doodle, test inks, or journal to your hearts content in.

On Paper Festival Workshop:
Junk Journaling Scrap & Yap with Tillie Rose Studio
Friday 19th June • 1.30pm to 4.30pm

Spend the afternoon junk journaling with Tillie Rose Studio. Learn that with junk journaling there are no rules and that literally anything can be turned into art in this sustainable alternative to traditional scrapbooking. All you need to bring is a journal or scrapbook and yourself, everything else will be provided, including glue, scissors, pens, and all the journaling supplies you could need. There will be stickers, papers, washi tape and lots of other ephemera for you to use too. Feel free to bring along any inspiration, photos or papers for collaging.

Everyone will receive an exclusive tote bag filled with junk journal and stationery supplies, with some designed exclusively for On Paper Fest that you can’t get anywhere else!

Tillie Rose has run her studio since 2019, bringing paper based joy and vibrant colour with her wherever she goes.

Sketchbook Keeping Workshop with Lee John Phillips
Friday 19th June • 10am to 1pm

Lee will introduce you to the absorbing craft of sketchbook keeping and the variety of ways in which you can visually record your everyday experiences in a creative way. You will learn techniques he’s developed that are ideal for recording quickly whilst on rainy streets or in busy cafe’s and galleries. You will work on a variety of surfaces and in a range of materials to document your surroundings in both expressive and representational styles.

In this workshop you’ll turn a single A3 sheet of paper into a wonderfully simple sketchbook to start you on your journey of visual discovery!

Lee John Phillips is a freelance illustrator and avid sketchbook keeper. His client base is both international and varied, covering branding, clothing, product packaging, how-to manuals, concept art and medical illustration. He also carves spoons ‘semi-professionally’ and teaches the craft internationally.

Join this wonderful printmaking workshop where you’ll get to draw, carve and print your very own design!

Using wonderful Pfeil tools and Welsh Canfield Safe Wash inks, you’ll thoroughly enjoy the pleasing “ooooos” and “ahhhs” from using such forgiving materials.

You’ll leave with an A5 print, greeting cards or A4 piece of artwork, plus will get to keep your carved design for further printmaking at home.

Wax Seal Embellishment workshop - Thursday 18th June2026, 2pm to 4pm

Discover the art of wax sealing and find out how to make the perfect seal in this wonderfully hands on workshop.

You’ll learn the basics and work your way up to more elaborate methods, expanding your skills with a variety of different finishes and embellishments, including marbling and using dried flowers. Collect lots of useful tips and create your own selection of wax seals to take home, alongside a kit that includes a brass seal stamp.

Solstice Intentions: A Creative Workshop with Susannah Conway
Thursday 18th June 2026, 10am to 1pm

Spend a fun and restorative morning with author, lifelong journaler and teacher, and set your intentions for the rest of 2026, just in time for the Summer Solstice.

Through a gentle mix of journaling, guided meditation and creative play, you’ll tune into what soul support you want to call in for the rest of the year, identify the words that feel most resonant and create a set of art cards to be displayed in your home, on your desk or anywhere else you fancy!

No previous journaling experience or artsy skills are required - you’ll be guided by Susannah through the entire process and there will definitely be some laughs along the way! All you need is a pocket full of curiosity and a willingness to look within.

Botanical Ink Colour Making Workshop with • Thursday 18th June, 10am to 1.00pm 🌈

Start your botanical colour journey using inks extracted from plants. Become and alchemist for the day, experimenting with mixing and modifiers to create incredible colours and varieties. All the inks will have been made at the SILT studio and you’ll discuss the step by step process behind how they are created and preserved.

You’ll make a beautiful colour wheel as a reminder of the techniques shown and meet other like minded artists and makers. We’ll talk about environmentally sustainable art making in the studio - how making our own ink helps us make direct connections between our practices and the immediate surroundings. Through the process we can also gain greater understanding of how colour responds to light and questions around archiving and the environment.

led by artist and co-owner of SILT: Sustainable Image Lab, Trowbridge, Anna Chrystal Stephens. SILT is a studio for ecologically aware image and colour research.

Discover gelli plate printing - a versatile type of mono printing that uses a flexible plate to create layers of incredible texture and colour - and create your own unique art papers, ideal for a variety of craft and fine art projects, such as multimedia art, collage, and journaling. Gelli printing offers immediacy, experimentation, and creative surprise.

Experiment with printing on different paper types and learn an abundance of techniques to create texture in your preferred colours. Take home one-of-a-kind printed papers to inspire your creativity.

You’ll be guided by Ellen Tovey, professional artist for 20 years here in Bath. She runs Botanical Gelli print workshops to share her passion for the beauty found in nature.
