Great news for Pingu fans! Mattel is teaming up with the award-winning animation studio Aardman (Chicken Run, Shaun the Sheep, Wallace & Gromit) to co-develop an exciting new stop-motion Pingu television series!
This iconic penguin, who first waddled onto our screens in 1990 with his cheeky mischief and beloved catchphrase “Noot Noot!”, will be brought to life once again. Designed by Otmar Gutmann, Pingu has captured hearts for decades with his antics at the South Pole.
Josh Silverman, Mattel’s chief franchise officer, shared his excitement about the collaboration at MIPCOM Cannes, saying, “You couldn’t ask for a more perfect marriage between Mattel and Aardman. Pingu continues to have a tremendous amount of affection and relevance, and we’re thrilled about this project.”

This animated music video is the result of a year's worth of dedication-6,300 handcrafted frames, each one packed with incredible effort and detail! I'm absolutely thrilled for Rose on completing this project. It's a huge milestone that reflects not only her hard work, but also the new skills and techniques she's mastered along the way. A brilliant step forward in her animation journey!
