Launching January 21, 2025 our collaboration with Erika Knight. Five designs to fulfill all your hand knit wardrobe dreams - a staple piece, a statement piece, something snazzy, something elegant and one to go with everything.

This entire collection uses Walcot Yarn Origin, our 50% Peruvian Highland/50% Merino/100% Free Spirited worsted weight yarn. Origin was made to be used like this and it is an utter joy to show off this yarn in this way. Stay tuned for more sneak peeks and stories of the collection.

One last pattern from this year and it’s this gorgeous Fisherman’s Cowl which he’s designed using Walcot Yarns x .boutique Fluff and Spincycle Yarns Nocturne.

This is a cosy yet light weight knit that you can make in two sizes. The small sits around your neck just so and the large you can wrap around twice for extra warmth. The simple lace stripes makes this a lovely pattern to get stuck into.

Grab a skein of two of your favorite shade of Fluff and pair it with some beautiful for your next project.

Missed out on Rhinebeck? Looking for something a little closer to home? We are so excited to be at Make Joy this year, held at Woolwich Works in London. We are bringing a carefully curated selection of Walcot Yarns, including all three bases; Opus, our Sport weight merino and alpaca blend, Origin, our worsted weight 50% Peruvian Highland wool and 50% Merino, and of course, Fluff, our super soft brushed yarn collaboration with Boutique Les Garçons.

Wow-wee, what a weekend! We had the most incredible weekend in Seattle at Flock Fiber Festival. Probably the best event I have ever had the pleasure of participating in.

Thank you so much for the organizers of for putting on a wonderful event in a fantastic venue. Events like this take an enormous amount of work and Jess and her team did an incredible job.

And thank you to everyone we met and got to chat with and for buying yarn from us. I’m always humbled by how many people are coming back to use our yarns for a second, third or tenth time because you love it some much. My heart is incredibly full ❤️

Also big shoutout to my right hand woman this event and of course the best collaborators a girl could ask for .boutique & I’m already looking forward to our next event together.

✨✨ New Pattern Release ✨✨ Tähesära Shawl by Aleks Byrd Designs 🌟

This stunning shawl pays homage to Aleks' time quilting and is designed using Walcot Yarns Opus and Walcot Yarns x Boutique Les Garçons Fluff.

A beautiful example of tradition blending to create a modern (and very of the moment) design, this is simple to knit, but also allows you to indulge in the engaging techniques of Roosimine and steeking. We are thrilled that Aleks has chosen Opus and Fluff for this timeless piece 💙

Featuring an eight point star pattern of Roosimine inlay that blends beautifully with the traditional Estonian belt design, giving the shawl its reversibility. The star design also appears on both sides of the shawl, thanks to a fabulous fringe steek.
