Take this baby blanket I have just made to gift to someone. Mum wears a lot of greens, browns and orange. Dad is in the Army. They’re having a little boy. So, I bought a cammo look in for Dad and flowers in for Mum (look closely and you can see the pattern of the blanket is made up of little flowers!). I can’t wait to meet the little bundle of joy who will be wrapped up in this Hug of Love 💙🩵

The Bloom of Persephone. An amazing pattern designed by Vio Vieux…. One of many greats I thoroughly enjoy making. The patterns never dull or bore me, and as an avid crocheter, monotony can create WIPs in abundance …. These patterns keep me interested and are a centrepiece to behold! I love this version!

Adding more colour to the garden!! My latest make and I’m keeping it all for myself! Slightly oversized but, hey ho! I just love the sleeves on it!

The pattern, Aurora, is by WYS (West Yorkshire Spinners). I did make the pockets but decided I preferred to leave them off so I now have two squares which can be used as part of anything really… a scarf, a blanket, a cushion cover …

It’s been a while hasn’t it!!?

I’ve been super busy with the daytime job and not had the time for anything else lately. Thankfully, it’s not as manic… for the time being at least!

Duncan here is modelling a last-minute shout out for a baby blanket from my daughter who is going to a gender reveal party tomorrow. Talk about short notice…. but the granny stitch came up trumps! Quick to do and a fast grower, this little blanket was created in no time. I just hope the little bubba to be likes the colours! (Duncan will be staying with me though!)
