We reached our first goal! We would like to thank everyone so very much for allowing us to reach our first goal in 3 days. We are still in shock, and so very grateful. There are 53 days left of this campaign so I know it is possible to reach £600 or even more to put towards new projects.

Andraste&Co Theatre Company was formed January 2020 with the goal of performing MILK in Sparkfest. Sparkfest is a showcase of work from Bath Spa University students as part of the Bath Festival.

Sadly due to Covid-19, and the first lockdown in the UK that preceded in March 2020, our plans to perform the show were stopped. However, we still released a 15 minute rehearsed reading of the play in Sparkfest Digital. This year we want to put on the full play.

MILK by Teddy Andraste is about a world not too dissimilar to our own. Women are raised knowing quite quickly that their bodies do not belong to them. MILK looks at the story of Daisy and Mary, two young women whose friendship is formed in a severely dystopic situation and tested continuously.

In this explicit and vulgar play, MILK questions ethics and humanity; both within our world and the worlds beyond ours.

Our aims are to rehearse and perform MILK in a Covid-19 safe environment; where we will record the play and produce it to make it accessible to the general public. This crowdfunding campaign will not only help support us in the pursuit of renting out a suitable performance space; but will help us to hire recording equipment such as cameras and lights; along with helping us to pay the actors and technical staff for their time, like the professionals they are.
