The Playgroup returns at 8pm tonight!

Whether you want to play a song, try out some stand-up comedy, read a poem, or do whatever else you feel like sharing on stage - our weekly open mic night welcomes it all. If you’d rather just watch, come and settle in with a pint and enjoy the local talent.

Sign-ups open at 7:30pm and the performances kick off at 8pm. Entry is completely free, so come on down and join us at The Bell!

There's only one place to be on a Thursday night in Bath.

Join us at The Bell for another session of The Playgroup, our legendary open mic night where the weird, the wonderful, and the downright virtuosic all share the same stage.

Whether you’re a singer with a new track, a poet with something to say, a comedian testing the waters, or you’ve got a 10-minute experimental jazz-flute solo, we want to hear it. No judgment, just a warm room, a great pint of ale, and the best community in the city.

We've got the PA, the mics, the piano, and the vibe. You just bring the talent..

Sadly one of our well loved open mic night regulars passed away last week.

Graham, “Honky Konk Graham On The Ivory’s”, came to our open mic night every week without fail and has been part of the Playgroup furniture.
He brought a lot of joy to the nights, showed a lot of support for the other artists and always liked to crack a joke or two!

His piano medleys had become well known and expected by many of you who came to watch and perform and he’ll be very missed by us all here.

Sending a lot of love to all his family and friends ❤️
