Bossington Bridge River Test

A hot June day, while my husband fished upstream, I sat on the bank and listened to the river sounds. The light was dancing, and I wanted to remember it, so out came the paints- only to be showered in grass as the zealous keeper swept past behind me on his mower! The light changed as the day wore on, but the ambiance remained - so does the memory of a summer's day spent by the river at Bossington bridge. No, my husband did not catch a fish!

This is one of a series of six bunches of flora I have drawn now. Pencils I used were a mix of Polychromos, Prismacolor, and Caran d'Ache.
The paper was 200 g smooth hot-pressed.
The plants all came from our garden.
