MEET THE ROMANTICS
After introducing you to the creations, we thought we'd introduce you to the creatives. The OG goths, romantics, and bisexuals 🙏
As the iconic mother of science fiction, Mary Godwin (later Shelley), we have Charlotte Spiller, a familiar WhimsiCo face. We're sure we don't need to tell you how fabulous she is, and this performance is not one to be missed.
Returning to us once again we have Laurence Tuck, playing what is possibly the hardest role we've ever written in one of our shows, Lord Byron AND Victor Frankenstein. But if you've seen Laurence in one of our previous shows, you know its going to be an incredible performance.
Another very exciting face returning to us after many years is the wonderful Douglas Murdoch, last seen as Boy in Escape to Wonderland (our first show EVER!). Finally the stars have aligned, and he is joining us as John William Polidori, the criminally underrated and ever-forgotten romantic, the father of the modern vampire, and Byron's physician. He also plays a multitude of roles within the world of Frankenstein.
And finally, some brand new faces to introduce you to! The first is Ethan John Parker, playing Percy Shelley, Mary's not-quite-husband-yet, and poet, and Henry Clerval. We have absolutely fallen in love with Ethan during this rehearsal process, and we're certain you will too.
We also have the brilliant Maya Hingorani joining us as Claire Clairmont, who drags her sister and her sister's boyfriend all the way to Geneva to chase her situationship. Much like Doug, Maya is playing a handful of book characters alongside Claire, and has been so fantastic in bringing this less-remembered romantic to life.
