What a wonderful start to our exhibition!

We had a very special preview yesterday, with Mayor Councillor Jacky Tustain joining us to celebrate the work of our talented BAC artists. It was a lovely evening, full of great art, friendly faces and plenty of enthusiasm for the exhibition.

Michael Valentine received the Mayor’s Choice Prize from our Chairman, Jillian Smith; closely followed by Patty Burt with ‘Turquoise Sky’, and Amanda Bates with her painting ‘Echo’. Congratulations all!

This morning, the exhibition opened to the village and we were delighted by the warm reception from visitors. There is a fantastic variety of work on display, showcasing the creativity and talent of our artists.

If you haven't visited yet, do come along and enjoy the exhibition — there is plenty to see, and perhaps even a piece that catches your eye!

We had a great start to our annual exhibition last evening and welcomed lots of visitors. ‘The Mayors Choice’ favourite painting winner was Michael Valentine, with ‘The Hand’, closely followed by Patty Burt with ‘Turquoise Sky’, and Amanda Bates with her painting ‘Echo’. Congratulations. The exhibition runs until Sunday at Dummer Village Hall, Up Street, Dummer RG25 2AK. 28th -30th August 10am- 5pm, Sunday closes at 4pm. Do come and see us.

Figure Drawing
Art club members and guests spent an enjoyable morning drawing Jade, our lovely model. It was a treat to study the figure in costume, and to be able to project some character.
