Hello all,
This weekend I finally managed to read my copy of this month's Wargames Illustrated magazine (No.419)

Not only is it a great issue but I was also pleasantly surprised to see they have reviewed my new 28mm Redoubt - part of the "Release Radar" feature (page 24), hosted by the legend that is Dom Sore! 🙂

Hello everyone, latest news......

I have a NEW model ready for release as pat of my 28mm resin range:

1/56 REDOUBT - This is a combined infantry & artillery version (infantry only version to follow). A very versatile piece that can be used for a multiple of historical periods including: TYW, ECW, SYW, WOSS, WOAS, FIW, AWI, Napoleonic and probably a few I haven't mentioned!

The external dimensions are apx 215mm (8.5") square and internally it measures 160mm (6.25") square. This gives enough room for 1 x artillery piece and at least 12 x 4cm by 4cm figure stands (if using Black Powder for example).

The model is solid resin and weighs in the region of 900g so very sturdy and should last a lifetime.

This will be up on the website asap and will be available in the following versions:

Unpainted ==== £42
Unpainted with Stormpoles ==== £57
Painted & Flocked ====£93
Painted & Flocked with Stormpoles ==== £108

The Storm Poles are made fom 4mm Walnut dowell which is very hardwearing and is difficult to break. The resin bastion model is drilled to fit each Storm Pole individually.

Thanks! Paul

Hello all!

As you can tell by now I don't actually post very often - my apologies - and also my thanks for continuing to follow my page despite the lack of any activity.

I would like to keep you up to date (if there was anything to report) but as I have a 'day job' most of my evenings and weekends I'm usually far too busy either casting and/or painting models.

However I do actually have some news today - well three pieces in fact......

1. I am temporarily without a 'proper' workshop so I am casting from home but the molds are kept in storage - basically it is taking me longer to get some odrers out. Unpainted models now take apx 10 days for dispatch and painted orders are taking up to four weeks for completion.

2. Price rises: Unfortunately it has finally come to me too - in the last year alone resin costs have gone up over 10% and as I have NEVER increased the prices on any of my resin models before (the earliest model is from 2012) it's about time. Some unpainted resin prices will not change at all, some a small amount and some up to 15% However the cost of purchasing PAINTED vesions will be affected more as I need to factor in the cost of paints/brushes etc and more importantly - my time! (I never have enough). These changes will take place randomly and slowly (my favourite way) over the next 3/4 weeks (i.e when i can get aound to it!).

3. Finally some 'good' news.........the 28mm Resin Breastwork Set 1 was the first ever resin model I introduced back in 2012 and has proved to be one of the most popular .....so it will be the LAST model in all my ranges to have it's price increased - yes I am weird like that!
Still available for a while longer at £30 for an unpainted set and £60 for a painted & flocked vesion, as shown in the pictures......

CHEERS! Paul's Modelling Workshop

Hello all,
One of my American customers - Al Lind - recently sent me some pictures of my Star Fort and Ravelin set up in a diorama setting, I have added a couple of them here.
It's always nice to see your own creations painted and displayed by someone else!
The pictures were taken at a show Al was part of in Pittsburgh on 12/09/21 called - Military Miniatures On The March 2021 Woodville Experience.
The building itself is of a beautiful wooden construction and the range of periods, scales and figures presented are excellent! I have added the link here if anyone else wants to takle a look at Al's pictures from the show:

Hello everyone,

Just to confirm I am still open for business during this current lockdown as I run Paul's Modelling Workshop from home - evenings and weekends currently as I am also an alleged key worker for my day job.

I will change to only visiting the post office for dispatch and courier collection one day a week for the time being.

Currently I have an injured arm, so for painted models I may be slightly slower (by a day or two) than usual.

Everybody stay safe, Paul

As part of my drive to slim down my collection (I have run out of room!) it's time to find a loving home for the last of my 28mm Bocage sets.
Over 23 feet of bocage including straights, curves, foxhole sections, AT Gun position, Breached section, damaged gateway section etc

I have put these on various buy and sell groups so you will probably see them listed somewhere - but here's some example pics for inspiration!

Hello everyone, the second new release from me this week and perfect for Saga Players:

28mm (or 1/56 scale) Viking Watchtower
Cast in resin and supplied in four pieces, as detailed inside as it is on the outside

Unpainted £49 Painted £107.80
Available on my website now

The ground level features a stone floor and the level above has a trap door for access. The third level features detailed wood flooring and panelling and the roof has been modelled with weather worn planking.

The design was taken from one of the reconstructed watchtowers at Trelleborg and could be used for Slavs and Pagan Rus as well as Scandinavian Vikings. For gaming purposes it is perfectly suitable for Saxons, Jutes, Normans and Angles.

It measures Apx 90mm (3.5″) square at the base and 210mm (8.5″) tall.

New Model Release (and in a new scale for me):

40mm (or 1/43 scale) Log Wood Piles - cast in resin with four pieces per set.

Unpainted £7 Painted £14.40
Available on my website now

These ubiquitous pieces of scenery can be used from ancient times up until the modern day. Stacks of logs would be seen in most places where humans populate near woodland! At the side of tracks and roads, in corners of fields, cleared sections of forest, against the wall of houses, sawmills, farmyards etc…. their uses are endless!

This is the first release in my foray into 40mm resin terrain and scenery - future (and soon) releases will include a Lunette, Ravelin and Breastwork Set.

I now make these Log Wood Piles in 15mm, 20mm, 28mm and 40mm scale - if there is enough interest I may make them in 54mm (1/32) versions as well.

So as part of my tidy up I open a box and find SEVEN sealed wodland scenics clump foliage!!
Plus three opened with a fair amount left in each 😆

I doubt I would ever get through that many so the four in the picture will have to go!

I will be listing these on the Wargaming Trading page
