I am thrilled to be able to share the trailer for my new play , produced by opening next month at .

The Law of Mayhem follows Michael Dillon & Roberta Cowell, two often forgotten pioneers of trans history - who just so happened to know eachother.

Three years of intense research has gone into this (with the help of my research assistant .bf) and i even had to do a total rewrite recently as we discovered some artefacts that’s contacted what historians had always said!

we’ve assembled a cast of incredible performers, led by and as Michael & Roberta, joined by circus and movement icons and . The show was developed with the brilliant and is directed by with choreography from .

This is a show about bottom surgery, and the first trans folk lucky enough to be able to access that - and to be opening it just before i go into surgery myself is…. wild.

We’re really@hoping this show has a future life - but if it does, i’ll be busy eating poutine with my new 🐱so come catch it in basingstoke before i move to Canada so we can kiki together ok?

tickets in bio as always x

It’s always nice when you get to take some nice photos, it’s not something i get to do very often - especially on my busiest nights, so a huge thanks to and for taking these gorgeous character shots of me as Ozma just before .

This was originally meant to be my wedding dress but then… life happened & all these years later it was a joy to wear it (styled by , with make up by and headpiece by ) surrounded by my chosen family & the community that has kept me alive during all that ‘life happens’ stuff.

My work hasn’t been very joyful lately - don’t get me wrong, i’ve enjoyed making it - but when responding to the world around me my work hasn’t been full of rage & despair, so to work on and make something so joyful was a reminded of who i used to be, and even who i might be again if the UK government ever get off our backs.

This was the worlds first all trans production of wicked, we filled a huge victorian musical hall, we flew Elphie during defying Gravity, we had confetti cannons and tears and joy and rage and i will never fu***ng forget it.

This might be the first Pride season where i’ve actually felt proud?

it’s gonna take a while for my to process the entirety of . To be able to make something so joyful, yet so political at the same time was such an honour - and much needed in these dark times.

and i went to see the Wicked movie at the end of last year, and joked about how fun an all trans production would be and then… we just did it with the help of

There are so many people to thank for making this all happen, our amazing cast

our insanely talented music team led by , with and supporting. The amazing London Trans Choir lead by .voice

then our costumes were styled and created by .gaze and who WORKED THEIR ARSES OFF and made incredible things we never even got to show you… yet ;-)

Our make up team, sponsored by and so beautifully applied and designed by and .art who made everyone look so beautiful

and if you’ve ever worked in theatre you know it’s the stage managers and technirs who actually get everything done, and Andie were so brilliant, the amazing flying Alfaba in, plus our brilliant photographers and Chloe Michelle - we have some gorgeous shots we’ll be sharing over at .

Plus a huge thank you to our hosts for the evening , who even lit the building up pink and green!

This was a community labour of love, a distraction for us all during these (literally) wicked times and i hope you all got even half the joy we did making it as you were watching. AND we raised over 2k for !

now… what show shall we trans next?

“It’s extraordinary, isn’t it? That we should find each other.”

The year is 1949, and Roberta Cowell; racing driver, RAF pilot and ‘It’ girl, meets Michael Dillon; a ship’s doctor who pursued Buddhism into the high Himalayas. Together they will change the course of British transgender history. Yet after just three short years, they never speak again.

Separated by time and space, Michael and Roberta meet for one last impossible encounter, to find out if the thing that brought them together was the same thing that broke them apart - The Law of Mayhem.
Joyful, uplifting and full of heart, Award-winning Basingstoke theatre company Proteus, and acclaimed writer Tabby Lamb bring the extraordinary lives of trans-trailblazers Michel Dillon and Roberta Cowell to the stage for the first time.

Using circus as a physical vocabulary, The Law Of Mayhem tells the story of two lives, inextricably entwined, that made their mark in history and forged a path for generations to come.

I’m lucky enough to have a play on the main stage at Shakespeare's Globe lasted this year, and (we think) this makes me the first trans woman writer to ever have a play on here???

It’s a short play, presented anonymously alongside some of my favourite writers in the world and programmed by literally two of my favourite people/artists/ally’s.

October 13th - come get burnt at the stake x
