A pause in portrait painting tonight....as i cant live by the sea quite yet, there is going to be lots of painting it instead.😃 Abstract seascape in watercolour and brusho.quite pleased how this turned out.(inspired by a karen rice tutorial on you tube)🌊🌊🌊🌊

A moment to pause😪
Painting has been hard to approach this past week as we had to say goodbye to our own furry friend of 19 years. Theo sadly had cat dementia and has been deaf for a number of years but he still soldiered on,but last weekend he had stopped eating and deteriorated rapidly bless him.So Monday I had to make that decision that every pet parent hates.We layed him to rest next to his brother Ziggy as a family together.
I have some lovely photos of him that, with time,I would love to paint along side his brother.
Ive sat down in my art room today to start on another memorial piece but am finding especaily hard today.
Hug your furry friends that little bit more today.😔

Heres the finished memorial portrait of beautiful Bonnie.A4 in size using watercolours,coloured pencil and gouache.Hope this brings her family some comfort at such a sad time.

Been a productive day. My boys are home so I will get back to it tomorrow. Happy with my progress today and the colours are starting to build up nicely.Enjoy what's left of your weekend you lovely people🥰
