Jane White Couture Tuition welcomes all sewers from beginner to couture to accessible, flexible and affordable independent dressmaking and pattern cutting tuition. You can join our regular fun and friendly ‘pay-as-you go’ Sewing Bee Workshops working on your own project in a small group. Sew Short Courses offer in-depth, technique or garment specific lessons over 1 to 4 days. Our City and Guilds F

ashion and Pattern Cutting equivalent courses offer structured tuition for all levels with an emphasis on practical skills. For sewing machine and overlocker owners a special 2 hour session will get you up and running and in control of your machine. Whether you are a complete beginner who has never sewn before or have skills you would like to explore further we can help you make clothes with individual style and a fantastic fit. 🎅Applications are now open for this year’s Christmas Art Market! 🎅

Our Christmas Art Market is always a hugely popular event, so if you’d like to be in with a chance of taking part, we’d encourage you to apply as soon as possible.

Taking place on Saturday and Sunday December 5 and 6, the Art Market is a fantastic opportunity to showcase and sell your work in the run up to Christmas, when visitors are in the midst of festive shopping and everyone is in high spirits!

Bit of a repurposing project which normally isn’t my favourite. Jim bought a lovely linen shirt in Italy a couple of years ago and then decided it was the most uncomfortable shirt he’d ever worn. So I whipped it out of his wardrobe and it’s now a romper for baby grandson Laurie who loves his book about fruit especially the lemons.

We’re so excited that it’s almost time for the Stitch Festival!
It’s always one of our favourite events of the year, and as it’s just down the road from us in Islington we get to meet so many brilliant stitchers from all over the UK and beyond!

It’s a great chance to discover so many brilliant businesses and creatives, make new friends and be inspired, whilst doing a little bit of fabric shopping here and there of course ✨
