💚 WE NEED YOUR HELP — Let’s get VAT on children’s indoor play from 20% to 0%.💚

We’re asking our wonderful Kiltoonies families, friends and community to get behind an important campaign being led by the Association of Indoor Play (AIP) Association of Indoor Play

The AIP is calling on the Government to make children’s indoor play ZERO-RATED for VAT.

At the moment, indoor children’s play is subject to 20% VAT — and for small independent businesses like Kiltoonies, that has a huge impact.

But this isn’t just about Kiltoonies.

Think about your most loved indoor play space — the place your wee ones ask to go back to again and again. Whether that’s Kiltoonies or another fantastic play venue, this change could make a real difference to its future 🙏

Zero-rated VAT could help indoor play businesses stay open, keep prices as affordable as possible for families, invest back into their facilities, create new experiences, support local jobs and continue giving children fantastic places to play, learn and grow. 💚

Because children’s play isn’t just “something to do”.

Through play, children build confidence, develop their imagination, practise communication and social skills, make friends, learn and — most importantly — get the chance to simply be children.
