The D Ramirez name has been synonymous with cutting-edge, forward-thinking sound since the release of ‘that’ genre defining remix of Yeah Yeah in 2006, but it’s the rich tapestry of production that followed that continues to entice tidal waves across the industry. Including groundbreaking releases on Toolroom, such as 2009’s underground anthem Downpipe with Underworld & Mark Knight, and the inimitable Cevin Fisher collaboration ‘Restless’ (Great Stuff) in 2012 that was a catalyst for the explosion of the recent ‘G-House’ scene.

With his studio now based in London’s creative melting pot that is the East End, enabling him to share a fountain of knowledge and collaborate with the cities’ ‘up and comers’ including Off Recordings ‘one to watch’ Barber; D Ramirez has proved his versatility and longevity in what can be considered the most tempestuous and fickle industry in existence. Placebo eFx is the progressive and melodic techno alter-ego of Los Angeles-based DJ and producer Jason Trevor Miller, also known as Redux Saints. Born in September 2018, this project emerged as a creative outlet for Miller’s deeper, more melodic expressions—quickly capturing the attention of global tastemakers like Sasha, Pete Tong, Chus & Ceballos, Riva Starr, Kryder, Joseph Capriati, Paul Oakenfold, Gus Gus, and more.

While Redux Saints is synonymous with driving, upfront tech house, Placebo eFx takes a more emotive path, channeling the essence of classic progressive house and melodic techno. First off, a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to put together and submit a mix. We received nearly 150 entries from all over the globe, and narrowing the field down to finalists before selecting a winner was no easy task.

The level of participation made this a tough - and slightly delayed - decision, and we truly appreciate every single artist who got involved.

With that said, we’re excited to announce Rua Hong as the winner!

Just Her sets are wondrous occasions. With a unique ability to move your feet and heart in equal measure, she crafts her own brand of emotive house music, spreading joy on dancefloors, festival fields and beach parties across the world.

With one foot firmly in the DJ booth after cutting her teeth spinning vinyl in sweaty back rooms, and the other in her fast developing producer and songwriter career, Just Her has already carved out an impressive back catalogue on world class labels including Anjunadeep, Crosstown Rebels, Global Underground and Armada, achieving a wealth of Beatport chart positions, an Essential New Tune on Radio 1 and high profile press features in the likes of DJ Mag & Mixmag. Also establishing herself as an accomplished remixer, Just Her has deconstructed tracks from key players such as Armin Van Buuren and Lane 8, crafting them skillfully into her signature deep emotive cuts.

Always one to see the bigger picture, Just Her also created Constant Circles - a unique concept in which music & contemporary visual art are combined. This would serve as an outlet for her own music, with successful label parties across the UK & Europe, art exhibitions in Brighton and London and a radio show on key online stations.

🪐 DJ Ruby

DJ Ruby is an internationally recognised underground progressive house DJ and producer from Malta, active since the early ’90s. He was among the key figures in building the country’s underground dance music scene and helping transform it into the thriving culture it became. Over the years he played a central role first as a DJ, and later through his Pure Promotions events and a decade-long Renaissance Malta residency throughout the island’s golden years of the 2000s. Known for hypnotic, seamless journey sets and a deeply musical approach to the dance floor, DJ Ruby has become a respected figure within the underground progressive community. Since fully dedicating himself to the genre in 2018, he has swiftly established a strong international presence, building loyal audiences worldwide.

His productions and remixes have appeared on a wide range of labels including Mango Alley, Global Underground, Balance and Warung Recordings, earning chart success and support across the progressive scene. Alongside non-stop touring, he continues to curate select events and remains very active online, constantly sharing mixes and studio sessions with a growing following. With decades behind him and a global path ahead, DJ Ruby remains devoted to shaping a sound where emotion and groove bring the dance floor together.
