Concerteenies

Concerteenies Live music events for 0-7s and their grown-ups: fun, informal, colourful, quality and engaging.

Concerteenies is an award-winning producer of musical events and activities for young children and their adults in Sheffield and beyond. We present concerts, creative music projects, and online events in early years settings (nurseries, schools, childminders), within the community (through venues and care homes), and at home, in addition to providing training and resources. Young children are at t

he heart of our work, with everything we do about bringing generations together to share, enjoy, and have fun through music. Concerts are performed by professional musicians who enjoy sharing their music with people of all ages. Enjoy an eclectic mix of classical, contemporary, pop, folk and jazz with informal introductions to the music and sensory activities to enhance your child's experience (bubbles, puppets, percussion and lots more). All concerts incorporate soft mats, blankets and toys for the children. Mums are welcome to breastfeed during the concert and nappy changing facilities are provided. All children must be accompanied by adults at all times and all adults must be accompanied by at least one child per group! Concerteenies is programmed and organised (and sometimes led and performed) by Polly Ives who has a wealth of experience as a musician and educationalist. She has worked with CBeebies, Music in the Round, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Opera House, National Children's Orchestra of Great Britain, Beatrix Potter Attraction and many more! Things we love to hear about Tuning In! 🥹

This testimonial for our new series is EXACTLY what we were hoping for.

Tuning In is a new series of Sheffield music sessions designed for children who experience the world a little differently — whether or not they have a diagnosis.
Do you and your 3-5 year old want to attend live music events but find these spaces challenging? Is your child neurodivergent (autism, ADHD, diagnosed or undiagnosed) and would prefer an understanding, adapted environment? If this sounds like your child, then this is for you.

Tuning In continues on Monday 15th June at Highfield Adventure Playground with Small Voices Big Noises with Martin Harwood and Luke Carver Goss.
Places are still available.

We’re not put off by the rain!
We put on our waterproofs and had loads of musical freeplay at Highfield Adventure Playground alongside the fab Sheffield Family Hubs team.

Come join us for the next 5 weeks with a different musician each week.

We’re not put off by the rain!
We put on our waterproofs and had loads of musical freeplay at Highfield Adventure Playground alongside the fab Sheffield Family Hubs team.

Ford Collier played ‘We’re singing in the rain’ (in time with the builders working in the next door playground!!)

Sarah played with the Music Pads.

Polly put the kettle on, made petal tea and sang walking in the tyres.

We think the families had a pretty fun time too! 🤣
