Did you know that Street Fighter II invented "combos" by accident?

The ability to chain together multiple attacks without the opponent being able to block was initially a glitch in the game's code. Producer Yoshiki Okamoto noticed the bug but thought the timing was too difficult for players to pull off, so he left it in.

Players eventually mastered it and it became a useful functionality for future fighting games.
