Having for many years suffered the pain in the rear aka Norton auto renewal I wanted to see if I was alone? Every year for over a decade apart from once when I was ill, I have purchased via Currys a little card with numbers & my antivirus software & every year although I jumped through hoops to bin the auto renew I have failed & they have taken hundreds out of my account usually over Christmas & then I'd spend all of January & part of February chasing my money that was removed even after I said no to auto. I'd had enough & decided to try another software, they only had bank details with an old card number so I was smug because I didn't have to jump through anymore hoops, because they didn't have upto date bank info & it even says they can't auto renew without updated bank info - They Lied & I didn''t check my bank because they couldn't access it without the correct bank details . . . . Wrong!! Even if you don't update your bank card details they have an agreement with banks & credit card people that they can access your account without your knowledge or permission because they've done it before!!! After a year with another antivirus provider I discovered that Norton removed funds last year & this year for antivirus protection that I neither ordered or wanted & they said they couldn't renew without upto date bank info, but they did & it was hundreds this time :-/
