For the second year running, we’ve successfully released northern pool frog tadpoles and froglets into the wild as part of our ongoing work to help bring Britain’s rarest amphibian back from the brink.

Our Conservation team has spent the summer raising these little amphibians from frogspawn at Banham Zoo, giving them the best possible start before their release into their native Norfolk habitat.

Once declared extinct in the UK, every release is another important step towards securing a future for this very special species.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to our conservation partners at Amphibian and Reptile Conservation, Natural England and ZSL's Disease Risk Analysis and Healthy Surveillance team for helping make this possible 💚🐸

Pick your guide, follow their route and discover spooky activities and surprises along the way. You'll make your way around Banham Zoo and discover Halloween activity stations along your route, before collecting your special treat at the end of the day.
