It's Late Night Art tonight!

In Boom HQ, pause in the entryway where we have an exhibition of the Get Messy Art Club's Summer work. In recognition of August Craft Month, we have displays in the building from Boom Stitchers sewing group, and work by studiomates engaging with craft up in the Gallery.

We have some studiomates in their spaces on each floor and also across the street in Boom 2, where wildlife artist Adele Pound's studio is not to be missed!

There's so much on this weekend!

📅 We're looking forward to joining organisations at the North Down Wellbeing Festival at Bangor Aurora on Saturday, 8th August.

🎨In partnership with Northern Community Leisure Trust (NCLT) and Inspire Wellbeing, find our information stand in the Workout Studio in Bangor Aurora from 10am-4pm, with free art activities from 2-3.45pm in the Wellness Studio:

2pm - 3pm - Drop in Watercolour Painting with local artist Kate Broderick.
Taster session - 15min or so activity.

3pm - 3.45pm - Art Trading Cards
Sit down and make a mini pice of art to trade with out collection.

2.45pm - 3.45pm - Drop In to a “Messy Morning” Big Painting Session.
For younger artists / young families.

Sketchbook Library Project - wall artwork submissions are now open!

If you are taking part in the 2026 Sketchbook Library, we would love to have some accompanying artwork for the remaining gallery walls/around the building. Scan the QR code in your sketchbook cover, or visit boomstudios.org.uk/news to read the blog with all the project info. Including hand-in day, and the form to let us know about any accompanying work you're putting in.

The Sketchbook Library Project exhibition is our Late Night Art Bangor September launch, you are all warmly invited to come and browse the collection! 24th September 6-9pm.

✨ Only 3 days to go until the Creative Peninsula Twilight Market!
Join Marianne, Kate and Holly in Conway Square from 3-8pm on Friday 7th August for free craft activities ,alongside a wonderful lineup of local artists and makers.
Activities to try include badge-making, hand-knitting and a watercolour paint-along.

We've seen lots of you at during the dragonfly festival so far! Our Summer sessions continue throughout August with Dragonfly disguises this Saturday and dragonfly craft on 8th.
