Twenty years ago, Eimear McGeown received the Young Musician Award at the Clandeboye Festival. Since then she has performed at Carnegie Hall, on BBC's Last Night of the Proms, 7 for Presidents and royalty across the world. This August, she returns to Clandeboye.

Joining her is Lurgan-born guitarist Jonny Toman, whose debut album Living Roots — a fusion of Appalachian and Irish music — has been widely praised since its release.

Following popular demand, this year's Friday lunchtime concert moves to the Banqueting Hall to welcome a bigger audience.

Delighted to share that violist Ed Creedon returns to the Clandeboye Festival this August for his twelfth year — a remarkable milestone that traces a full arc from student to established artist.

Ed first attended as a student of the Camerata Ireland Academy in 2014. Two years later, back at Clandeboye in 2016, he co-founded the Lir String Quartet — an ensemble that has gone on to perform to sold-out audiences at the National Concert Hall and champion contemporary Irish music across the country.
Since then, Ed has built an extraordinary career: touring internationally with Camerata Ireland (including solo appearances alongside Barry Douglas), performing with the Irish Chamber Orchestra and Vanbrugh & Friends, and recording with Musici Ireland and Crash Ensemble.

This summer, as the festival marks its own 25th anniversary, Ed performs in four concerts:

👉 Lady Dufferin Opening Concert · Sat 22nd August · 7:30 pm

👉 Sunday Afternoon Concert · Sun 23rd August · 7:30 pm

👉 Wednesday Lunchtime Concert · Wed 26th August · 1:00 pm

👉 Thursday Lunchtime Concert · Thurs 27th August · 1:00 pm

🎟 Tickets available via bit.ly/ClandeboyeFestival26

The Clandeboye Festival runs 22–29 August 2026 at the Clandeboye Estate, Co. Down.
