We have been getting a fair few messages asking for dates for this year's event.

Sadly we won't be putting on a show this year, whilst we love doing the event it is incredibly hard work to organise and me, Ian & Tony and the lads need a year (at least) off.

Thanks to everyone who helped and contributed over the past 4 years - all the players who helped in the bar, the fellas back stage, our bar staff upstairs and the rugby club committees. And of course all you guys who came and supported our insignificant local event, we hope we exceeded your expectations of what a few rugby guys can do!

But Special thanks must go to our small team of eejits who took the idea of putting on a music event and ran with it - these boys are a credit to our club and deserve a medal for listening to me and Ian moan. So thanks Vin, Coops, Aj, DC, Big Iain, Ryan and special thanks to Ian Mcburney who ran the bar and ordering with aplomb and lastly the biggest thanks must go to our inimitable 'gaffer' Tony Heffernan, who did all the proper work behind the scenes to get this thing going.

You can't underestimate the work that goes in to putting this event on and these boys always did it with a smile on their faces - in 5 years in the planning I don't think we had 1 proper argument. I'll definitely miss the banter.

Maybe (and it's a big maybe) we will see you all again.

If anyone on here has 2 mins, please follow the link and vote for Bangor Rugby Club in the Aviva community fund, if we get enough votes we will get awarded much needed funding, which will go a long way to improving drainage for POTP as well as help our mini and youth rugby section with equipment and help us improve our kitchen and catering area!

I am proud to be a member of a club which is firmly rooted in its local community and which provides the chance for hundreds of people to be active and to enjoy playing rugby and cricket. We have a great bunch of coaches, players and volunteers - it is a great 'wee' club!

Right-o, let's do this. Venue is all set up, bar staff are primed, beer is cooling, grass is cut, bands are all in transit somewhere and the tickets have flown out these past days!

Fantastic! If you still haven't got your ticket we are at venue from 9 this morning, pop over and we will sort you out. Or of course you can pay in at the gate.

Weather looks good!!! So get your dodgy leather jacket on, some skinny jeans (ripped optional) and let's rock out to 'whole lotta Rosie' and 'use somebody'... gates open at 4pm...
