Box number 2 finished today

My sister and I used to skip across the rocks by Seacliff road, bringing carrier bags for the fishermen to take home their catch. Bargaining a mackerel for my dad's barbecue.

A joy to paint, even though I'm chilled to the bone.

A few hours dodging wind and rain yesterday while I finished this off

My cabinet for Ards and North Down Borough Council on Eisenhower Pier featuring a wee snippy thing

Thanks to Boom Studios for setting up this project and giving me the opportunity to design not only this cabinet, but all four on the pier. More updates will be coming soon, expect more critters.

Crown Paints Bangor helped me to get my palette and finish exactly how I wanted. They really stand out and I couldn't be happier with the result.

Also huge thanks to the artists community including CODO ART, David Moore, Anna Jade and everyone who stopped for a little or longer to offer moral support. It's so nice to be part of something so positive

I've wanted to paint a wee box on the street since I saw that Belfast was doing it. Even better in my hometown - by the sea where I grew up.

This project means so much to me, I cant wait to grab the next good weather opportunity and finish them off

Sitting on Eisenhower pier watching my paint dry - thinking of the end result to keep me warm
