I promise I’m not a ceramicist… maybe. During my final year of university, I’ve been doing a deep dive into natural glazes made from rocks and minerals from different parts of Scotland, including granite from Aberdeen, clay from Dufftown, marble from Assynt, and minerals from Caithness.

During the second half of the year, I will then combine ceramics with jewelry.

In the picture is a variety of reduction glaze tests. I’ve been exploring the effect of oxidation, reduction, particle size, and purity on the glaze.
