Firstly, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Charlie Mathieson and I've been an active member of the RSOC for over 30 years, having owned my Mexico since the early 90’s. Due to recent, major changes in the North East of Scotland RS group, I feel the need to clarify what has happened and to advise on a few points, going forward.
Our previous chairman, Ricky Ross has resigned from his position due to issues he has had with the national RS Owners Club and nothing to do with our local group. As our show day, Rallye at the River, is an RSOC event, this unfortunately means that he is not permitted to assist with or be involved in our show, at this time. Again, this is a national club decision.
After Ricky's resignation, we as a branch had to move forward to preserve our group and as per strict club regulations, we hosted an emergency general meeting, where I was elected chairman. My decision to stand was not taken lightly and I’m sure I do not fully comprehend the huge task that is in front of me. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Ricky for his huge contribution to not only the N.E. Scotland RS Owners group but also the Rallye at the River. His passion, drive and hard work, have helped make RatR one of the largest and most successful events in the North East of Scotland.
What I do know is that I have a great team of members and volunteers around me who are determined to continue with the traditions of the local group and endeavour to maintain the extremely high standards set by previous Rallye at the River shows. We all understand that this is a massive ask and that we will need to work hard and rise to the task ahead. We have no option, if Rallye at the River is to continue in 2027.
I hope the NERSOC will continue to have your support and I look forward to seeing you at various outings this year and next, especially, Rallye at the River 2027. I'm a very affable and approachable person so please come over for a blether!

There s a 40 feet shipping container still onsite full of Mk3/Mk4 cortina parts engines,gearboxes,glass,trim panels etc .

ANNOUNCMENT
Hello folks after three very very successful Rallye at the River events where the show has grown and grown and new attractions have been added and it has grown to a scale that i dont think anyone would have imagined with a wide variety of vehicles and stallholders and a huge buzz around the event i must say i am no longer involved in anyway atall with the event i have no longer any involvement atall with the event .
I wish everyone involved with the event the very best of luck and success .

We're well on the way with this year's show season. There's been some amazing events and weather has been fantastic.
From the outside looking in, from a show organisers point of view, you fully understand the amount of time and effort that goes into organising a show. I know first hand the pressure of it all.
Without Brian Ingram and Maureen England, Rallye at the River simply wouldn't work.
It's fantastic seeing other shows growing in scale and trying new ideas and it's great to support fellow shows.
Without being supported, shows no longer happen and we all need to stick together and help and support.

So guys, let's see those shows you've attended so far, and get those pics up! 🚙🚗🚙🚗🚙🚗🚙🚗🚙🚗.
