You’ll get a sneak peek at everything coming up in our 2026/27 season, with the directors of all four productions sharing their plans through presentations and rehearsed readings.

🃏 The Comedy of Errors
Shakespeare’s classic comedy of mistaken identity - performed outdoors at Broughton Castle!
15–17 July 2027
Directed by Phil Wintle

Then, after a free drink at the interval, settle in for the FINAL performance of our award-winning one-act festival play, A Handbag by Anthony Horowitz, directed by Chrissie Garrett.

Huge congratulations to Chrissie Garrett, Martin Crook and the cast and crew of our 2026 festival entry, A Handbag, on their success at the 2026 National Drama Festival Association Finals!

Chrissie was awarded Best Director for her staging of the production, whilst Martin Crook took home the Best Supporting Actor award for his performance as Allan. Simon Hook was also nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category for his performance as Specs, and Lucy Byford received a nomination in the Technical Excellence category.

These awards and nominations come after earlier success in the summer, with a top score at the Oxford Drama Network (ODN) Festival and finishing runner-up at the Lighthorne Festival of One Act Plays.

A huge well done to everyone involved in the production - we're so proud of you!

Didn't manage to catch A Handbag on the festival circuit this summer? Don't worry - the play will be performed one final time at our annual Season Preview event on 17th September 2026 at The Mill Arts Centre - more information on how to RSVP coming soon, so watch this space!

Team "A Handbag" are gearing up to represent Banbury and BCP at the National Drama Festivals Association Finals this weekend in Bromsgrove!

BCP will be taking to the stage on Saturday 1 August from 2pm with their one act play, A Handbag, written by Anthony Horowitz, and directed by Chrissie Garrett. BCP were chosen for the NDA finals after receiving a top score at the Oxfordshire Drama Network festival and being awarded runner up at Lighthorne Festival & Friends earlier this summer.

We're delighted to announce the cast for our upcoming November 2026 production of The Girl on the Train, based on Paula Hawkins' bestselling novel and adapted by Rachel Wagstaff and Duncan Abel!

Congratulations to all involved, and we can't wait to see this brilliant, thrilling show come to life over the coming months!

A tense, twist-filled thriller where obsession, secrets and deception collide, The Girl on the Train will be performed from 19-21st November 2026.
