🎈 PLEASE HELP US FIGHT FOR 0% VAT ON CHILDREN’S PLAY 🎈
I’m Caroline, owner of Rugrats & Halfpint Soft Play, and this is something I feel strongly about.
Running an indoor play centre isn’t always easy. Like many small businesses, we work incredibly hard to provide a safe, fun and welcoming place for children and families to enjoy, while trying to keep our prices as affordable as possible.
But children’s indoor play admissions are currently charged at 20% VAT.
I honestly believe that children’s play should not be taxed at 20%. 💔
Indoor play centres provide so much more than somewhere to burn off some energy. They give children a safe space to play, be active, socialise, build confidence and have fun — whatever the weather.
And for parents, grandparents and carers, they provide an affordable place to spend time together.
The Association of Indoor Play (AIP) is campaigning for 0% VAT on children’s indoor play admissions, and I wholeheartedly support this campaign. 🙌
A reduction in VAT could make a real difference — helping businesses like ours keep prices affordable and making indoor play more accessible to families.

💜 Play shouldn’t be a luxury. Every child deserves the chance to play, have fun, make friends and stay active.

But with the cost of living continuing to put pressure on families, days out and children’s activities are becoming harder for many parents to afford.
